According to reports from international media outlets, prospective employees of Qatar Airways would be pleased to hear that the company has revealed plans to add 10,000 more workers to its workforce to manage passenger arrivals during the Qatar Airways Football World Cup. The relocation is being made in preparation for the large number of passengers travelling into Doha for the World Cup.

An official of Qatar Airways was quoted in the media as saying that the airline is preparing to recruit around 10,000 personnel to enhance its workforce to handle the passengers in the coming days. It will bring the total number of employees up from 45,000 to 55,000.

After the COVID pandemic, the firm issued a statement saying that Qatar Airways is on the route to expansion and that online recruitment would soon commence. However, the airline declined to specify whether the new posts are permanent or not.

During the World Cup, Qatar Airways is “changing 70 per cent of its schedule to make room for additional planes arriving in Doha. In addition, the airline has cancelled other flights and lowered frequency to free up aircraft to fulfil the demand from fans.”
